ANZAC Assembly

Week 1 Term 2

Hi everyone and welcome back to another awesome term!

This week we have continued our inquiry on from the first term to coincide with the 100th Centenary of ANZAC day. This week we looked closely at the story of the ANZACs and their efforts in WW1.

On Friday we held our own 'Dawn Service' in the hall. It was a really powerful ceremony where each class lay a remembrance wreath beside the cenotaph.

Each student in room 16 made their own poppy and wrote a special message on it for the ANZAC soldiers.
All the poppies were attached to our wreath.

Special guests also lay a wreath and spoke to the school.
All the beautiful wreaths made from all the SPS students.
